Beauty Report: Rosy Lips

So everyone in the makeup world has gone bananas lately over Jacyn Hill's makeup releases and I can't blame them! She's my favorite beauty guru and she definitely knows her stuff. I just recently ordered some of her lip products from Gerard Cosmetics (which will be in my beauty haul soon!) and I am dying to try them out! I also want to get my hands on her palette with Morphe Brushes which is a gem from the heavens! I've literally got butterflies in my stomach while typing this, but moving on! One of my coworkers and I constantly have conversations about makeup (yes, they exist!) and she was kind enough to share a lippie combo that is just stunning! It reminded me of Jaclyn Hill's lipstick "1995," but a much more rosier tint to it. If you're into darker toned lips then you need to try it ASAP! It's all drugstore but very good quality and it's long lasting. I wouldn't say that this is a dupe for the 1995 lipstick but it can be for those who prefer more of a rose tint rather than the nudish color her lipstick gives off, although it is gorgeous! I ordered her lipstick online and I will definitely use it as well as this lippie combo. Both are absolutely amazing and complement everyone so nicely regardless of skin tone!

I apply lip balm, usually EOS and let that sink in while I do the rest of my makeup. I then remove excess lip balm with a Q-tip. I line my lips with the lip liner and color them in (If you want it to be less dark, don't color in.) Then I go in with the lipstick and apply two coats. It stays on the entire day and I only need to reapply at lunch time. It's got a nice satin finish that many gravitate towards when choosing a lippie, myself included!

Here are the swatches separate and combined.

This is what it looks like in natural lighting, but the camera did make it a bit lighter. It's actually a deeper color with rose and maroon being the highest tints. The swatch above shows its truer color. Overall, it's a gorgeous color and I have been wearing it nonstop! It's moisturizing and the colors were easy to work with and blend.

Thank you for visiting my blog today! I'm aiming for an outfit post on Friday but we will see how that goes.
