When it comes to makeup, I like to play it safe. Lots of neutral shades, a cat-eye here and there and I have no complaints, but it's always nice to leave that comfort zone and delve into something different. For a while now, I've been wanting to try out a black smokey eye, but was too scared of working with such a dark color. Such dark shades on my light complexion are always tricky because there is a fine line between gorgeous dark smokey eyes and looking like a panda!
Yesterday I had some time to spare and decided to doll myself up. The black shadows in my palettes look untouched and they might as well be since I skip past them every time I'm working on an eye look. I recently received my Manny MUA palette from Makeup geek and decided to incorporate some of the shadows into my look. I love the nudish-peach colored shadows and decided to give my black smokey eye a "coral-ly" twist!
I love the almost neon like presence of the peach shadow underneath the dark brown and black. It's subtle but still very noticeable.
