Halloween is almost here! Have any of you gotten your costumes planned and ready? I love dressing up as something fun, eating candy without being judged and watching countless Halloween movies! The costume possibilities are endless, which can be a problem for those who can never make up their minds. This Halloween, I'm going to be a cat and I was online searching for cat ears and I could not find a pair that I liked that was in my price range. So what's the next best thing? Making your own! Here's my D.I.Y on some cat ears, it's easy and surprisingly quick to make!
Here is what you need:
Most of these material were found at Michael's craft store and Beverly's! This project was under $20 to make!
Step 1: Take the black wire and cut two long enough pieces for the ears. Shape them into ears, you can make them into perfect triangles or curved like I did. Wrap the ends around the headband making sure nothing sticks out to poke your scalp when you wear it.
Step 2: Use lace, or any fabric that you prefer, and measure enough material to cover the ears.
Step 3: Cut out the lace into the desired shape and glue them on with some Tacky glue. Hold down the fabric for 30 seconds to ensure that it will not slide of fall off.
Step 4: Take some rhinestones, beads or crystals of your choice and glue the rims of the ears for some glamour. This is my favorite detail about these ears! Let dry for a couple minutes and you're all done!
Hope you guys like this D.I.Y and enjoy making a pair of your own! I love these and am beyond excited to wear them our on Halloween (Excuse the crookedness of my headband, I forgot to straighten it out in this picture!)
